Manchester Withington MP Jeff Smith backs ‘Maggie’s Culture Crawl’, a sponsored walk taking place tomorrow to raise money for Maggie’s, a charity which provides support for people affected by cancer and their families.

The 10km walk, beginning at the Maggie’s Centre on the grounds of the Christie Hospital, takes a tour around some of Manchester’s most famous and unusual art and architecture.   Stops along the way include an out-of-hours exhibition at the Whitworth Art Gallery, a recital at the Royal Northern College of Music, and an exclusive tour of the London Road Fire Station.

Jeff said: ‘It’s fantastic that we have a purpose-built centre to offer emotional, social and practical support for those affected by cancer.

This walk is a great way to bring people together for a night of Manchester’s finest culture, while raising money for an excellent cause.’

Registration for the walk costs £25, just turn up to the start line at Maggie’s Manchester, 15 Kinnaird Road, Withington, M20 4QL from 5:30pm tomorrow. More details about the walk can be found here.
