Last Saturday, Jeff held his latest ‘Meet Your MP’ coffee mornings at Christ Church in West Didsbury.
The event was one of a series of ‘Meet Your MP’ events held across the constituency. Local residents are invited to raise local or national issues, over a cup of tea and biscuits in a local venue.
At previous events, the discussion has covered everything from Jeff’s view on Brexit to local service cuts to individual housing issues. Jeff’s team of caseworkers, as well as local councillors, were also present to provide advice and support.
Jeff said: “These coffee mornings are a great way for me to meet local residents and listen to their concerns both nationally and locally in south Manchester.
It was interesting to discuss local issues such as policing, but also Labour’s ambitious plan to invest in local Government and the NHS.
It was also great to be joined by our hardworking local councillors who were on hand to respond to residents’ issues.”
