Manchester City Council has announced that the high street in Withington is to be resurfaced this summer.
The work on Wilmslow Road, between Copson Street and Mauldeth Road, will consist of removing the existing surface, adjusting the carriageway ironwork, and the laying of the new surface and road markings.
The works are going will be carried out at weekends commencing on 11th August 2018 and continuing on 12th August, 18th and 19th August and 1st and 2nd September. The working hours will be 08.00hrs to 19.00hrs on Saturdays and 09.00hrs to 19.00hrs on Sundays.
The improvement to Wilmslow Road was a key commitment of the Labour Councillors in Withington at the local elections earlier this year.
