Age UK offers a national telephone friendship service, Call in Time, across the UK for older people who are lonely and isolated. They are really keen to grow the service and reach even more older people, offering them a chance to make a real connection with a telephone friend.

The calls have a huge impact upon the lives of older people. One of the beneficiaries, Jean, has said ‘the calls lift my spirits because someone takes the time to share their life with me. We laugh at so many things together’, about her volunteer Katy. 96% of Call in Time members told us that our calls made them less lonely and 94% said their wellbeing had improved since having telephone calls.
