Jeff Smith, Labour’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Manchester Withington, has signed the Remain Labour Campaign Pledge.​

The pledge reads: “Labour is committed to a confirmatory referendum, to give you the final say on Brexit. If elected as your Labour MP, I pledge to campaign to Remain in the EU.”​

It has been signed so far by 121 Labour parliamentary candidates, with the number continuing to grow.​

Jeff said:​

“I have been a consistent supporter of putting any negotiated Brexit deal back to the people in a public vote.​

Labour has committed to a second referendum, and if I’m re-elected as your MP, I’ll be campaigning to Remain in the EU whatever deal is on the ballot.”
