Jeff Supports Local Bike Shop Day 2020

This Saturday Jeff Smith MP is supporting Local Bike Shop Day, a campaign that exists to promote the products and services offered by Britain’s local, independent cycle shops.

Local Bike Shop Day is managed by the ACT (Association of Cycle Traders) which represents over 4,000 cycle businesses. The inaugural Local Bike Shop Day took place on 6th October 2018, and this year takes on even greater importance as more people are making the change to sustainable travel.

If you run an independent cycle shop, there is still time to sign up for Local Bike Shop Day this Saturday. Local Bike Shop Day is a great opportunity to join hundreds of other independents in promoting the products and services you offer to your local community! Businesses can sign up here

Speaking about the day, Jeff said:

“As a result of lockdown, more people are taking up cycling than ever before.

Local bike shops provide an invaluable service to their customers, with many staying open throughout lockdown earlier this year, to serve local communities.

With great cycle shops like Lane End Cycles, Ken Fosters and Withington Cycles – who did a very good bike service for me recently – here in the constituency, why not show them your support by paying them a visit this Saturday.”
