Channel 4’s Production Training Scheme is now open for applications. This scheme is supporting entry level talent who are passionate about TV production and is particularly focused on those currently underrepresented in the TV industry.
Channel 4 are offering 14 individuals the opportunity to work as a researcher, and one individual the chance to work as trainee script and development editor, all placed at independent production companies across the UK – in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, North Wales, Belfast and Glasgow. Channel 4 provides 50% of the salary as well as wraparound training and support.
In Manchester, they are working with the independent production company Studio Lambert.
In addition they will be holding virtual workshops for people who want to find out more about the scheme, what makes a great candidate and how to take your first steps into TV production. These workshops will include former Channel 4 trainees and representatives from the indies taking part.
