After a busy time serving in parliament in the Opposition Whips office in recent years, Jeff has taken on a new role; he’s been appointed Shadow Minister for Local Government.

Speaking about the appointment, Jeff said:

“As someone who served as a Councillor in Manchester for many years, I know the importance of local government in supporting communities – but also how hard it’s been for Councils after ten years of cuts. I’m looking forward to holding the government to account and standing up for local residents.”
