When his constituent Julia got in touch to tell how she’d been photographed without permission while breastfeeding in a south Manchester park, Jeff was shocked to find there was no action that could be taken.
Along with his colleague Stella Creasy MP, Jeff has put forward a change to the law, in the form of an amendment to the Police Courts and Sentencing Bill which would make this kind of voyeurism illegal.
Jeff said “Breastfeeding should be something that mothers can do without fear of intrusion. I hope the Government will back our move to make this type of personal violation a crime”
