St Nicholas Church

I have been to St Nicholas Church in Burnage over recess and really struck by what a wonderful building it is. It is a Grade II* listed building and one of the few modernist churches in the country. This December will be its 90th birthday.

I went to visit the food bank being used in the building, but it’s used for a number of events as well as services. The Community Hall is available to book for local groups, clubs, societies, as well as celebrations. The main hall can cater to up to 100 people, while the Glass Room – a unique glass rounded room overseeing the church from the upper floor – can host 30.

The church is keen for more local community groups to use this venue. Get in touch to use this great resource for the community here.
