While I support HS2 as a once in a century investment in our transport network, the recent amendments to the plans have caused concern for some residents in  West Didsbury and Withington.

Councillor Debbie Hilal and I have had a number of meetings with local residents concerned about the plans for HS2, and particularly the proposals for the vent shaft at The Hollies. I’ve submitted a representation to HS2 and the Parliamentary select committee asking for the vent shaft to be moved to a more appropriate location, the vent shaft redesigned, and the access road affecting Barlow Moor Road changed.
