Being sworn into parliament in 2015

In May 2015, I became one of the 53 new Labour MPs elected at the 2015 election. In my maiden speech I outlined my priorities as being Human Rights, devolution, tackling climate change, and the housing crisis in the UK.

I regularly speak in Parliament on a wide range of issues and you can find all my latest speeches here, including a video of me holding the Government to account on the lack of mental health beds in the UK.  I also asks a large number of questions to ministers in writing and these can be found here.
