Dear Resident,
I’m standing as your Labour candidate because I want to make Didsbury West even better. I am proud to call South Manchester my home. I love this place and treasure the time I spent living in Didsbury before starting a family. Whether it is taking my little boy to Parsonage Gardens or the library, going for a run along the Mersey or enjoying our independent cafes and bars on Burton Road & Lapwing Lane – Didsbury is the best of Manchester.
I worked for years as an Employment Solicitor, standing up for working people and small businesses. I have a track record of fighting people’s corner, even when it is difficult. I will always stand up for you. Manchester Labour is turning the page on austerity – meaning we can work together and utilise more investment to make our area even better.
In 2022, I became involved with Football for Foodbanks to help raise money & donations for foodbanks across Manchester through weekly football matches. I care deeply about helping people and making places better for everyone. I believe in working for the common good of our community – enhancing our public spaces, ensuring our streets are safe, and bringing together community groups, businesses and schools to make Didsbury West the best place in Manchester to grow up in, work, and grow old in.
My Pledges
- Campaign for more investment in our community and leisure facilities – our parks, and extending opening hours at Didsbury Library
- Work hard to ensure Didsbury is the best place to grow up in, work, and grow old in
- Work with the community to keep our parks and green spaces the best in the city
- Champion our high streets along Burton Road, Lapwing Lane and Didsbury Village for further investment and improvements
- Fight for the rights of all those who rent in Didsbury, in both social and private rented housing
If you value these things, vote Labour on 7 May – for a fairer, safer and greener Didsbury.
Thank you for your support,
Ben
