Dear Voter,
It is my great privilege to ask for your support in the local elections on Thursday, 7th May.
As a longstanding Didsbury resident, it has been an honour to have represented you as a local Councillor for the last fifteen years.
As your Labour and Co-operative Party candidate this time my election priorities are:
- Bringing more investment into Didsbury – The City Council’s finances are in a more stable position thanks to extra funding from our Labour Government. I will continue to make sure that Didsbury residents see money spent on projects they care about.
- Flooding – I will continue to work with affected residents, making sure they are aware of the flooding risks from the River Mersey. I will continue to challenge the Environment Agency on their measures to combat the effects of Climate Change.
- Crime and Antisocial Behaviour – I will continue to work with the police and Home Watch groups to reduce crime, speeding and antisocial behaviour.
- Transport – I am part of the team campaigning for Metrolink to be extended to Stockport. And I will continue to work for better walking and cycling routes across Didsbury.
- Parks and green spaces – I will continue working with all our volunteer groups across Didsbury as they improve our parks and open spaces.
With your support I will continue working for the residents of Didsbury, East Didsbury and South Burnage. Thank you for your support.
Andrew
