Cllr Joanna Midgley – Chorlton Park Ward

Dear Neighbour,

I have been honoured to represent you for the last 14 years and would like to ask for your support again in the local elections on Thursday 7th May.

I have a strong track record of supporting residents and community groups and delivering improvements for our area. I have lived in the ward for nearly 30 years and brought my children up here. This is my community. I love living here and care deeply about it, just like you do.

My Election Pledges to You

  1. Parks and Green Spaces – Work closely with all our Friends groups and get further investment to enhance and improve our beautiful parks and green spaces.
  2. Ensuring Genuinely Affordable Safe and Secure Homes in Chorlton Park – Press for more genuinely affordable social homes in Chorlton Park and make sure that people who rent from private landlords feel the benefit of the Labour Government’s new Renters’ Rights Act.
  3. Road Safety – Work with GMP to tackle speeding and road safety and introduce road safety measures wherever we can.
  4. Improving Public Transport – Reliable and affordable public transport is essential and I will work hard to improve the frequency of buses to all parts of the ward.
  5. Supporting Our Local Community and Voluntary Organisations and Youth Groups – Continue to support our many fantastic groups that bring a huge amount of friendship and joy to others with funding for their activities.

If you re-elect me I will work hard with my ward colleagues Mandie and Dave to secure investment for our parks and green spaces, road safety, the district centre, facilities for young people and much more so Chorlton Park is an even better place to live.
