Dear Neighbour,
I’ve lived in Old Moat since 1992 and have had the privilege of representing our community as your Councillor since 2010. As a mother of four grown-up children who were raised here, I am deeply invested in our neighbourhood’s future.
In my professional life, as a teacher and as Chair of Trustees for a local Multi-Academy Trust, I see firsthand the importance of giving our children the best start in life. This passion drives my work on the Council, where I have fought for investment despite 14 years of Tory/Lib Dem austerity.
I’ve worked hard to secure improvements for our community, including enhancements to Withington Village and repairs to roads and pavements across the ward. Now that we have a Labour Government which has agreed more funding for Manchester, I’m excited to be able to drive more progress for our local area.
I am asking for your vote to continue this work alongside Jeff Smith MP and our local Old Moat Labour Voice and Manchester Labour team.
My Pledges to You:
π«New youth provision in Old Moat
ποΈ Continue improvements to Withington Village by working for more resources and investment
π³ Campaign for a clean and green neighbourhood in Old Moat, including planting more trees
π Work with and support our local community groups, such as Withington Baths, Withington Assist and Withington Civic Society
π Investment in new facilities in Old Moat Park through the park development plan with Friends of Old Moat Park
On Thursday 7th May, please vote Labour to keep an experienced voice standing up for Old Moat.ππΉπ‘π³
With my best wishes,
Cllr Suzannah Reeves
