Join Labour North West in Makerfield on polling day

On Thursday 18 June, voters in Makerfield will go to the polls and volunteers will be out across the constituency doing everything we can to help elect Andy Burnham as Labour’s MP for Makerfield.

This is a campaign rooted in the communities that make Makerfield special: proud working-class towns and villages where people look out for one another, but where too many feel politics isn’t working for them. Andy is standing to change that, to give Makerfield a strong Labour voice and to fight for the issues that matter locally.

Polling day is when campaigns are won. Every knock on a door, every conversation with a voter, every lift to a polling station and every leaflet delivered can make the difference. Whether you are an experienced campaigner or volunteering for the first time, we need you with us.

Why polling day matters

On election day, our job is simple: make sure Labour voters know it is polling day, know where to vote, and have the encouragement they need to cast their ballot.

Across Makerfield, teams will be speaking to residents, reminding supporters to vote and helping build the Labour turnout needed to win. You do not need any special experience. You will be welcomed by local organisers, paired with other volunteers where needed, and given everything you need on the day.

This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a positive Labour campaign, meet fellow members and supporters, and play a direct role in electing Andy Burnham for Makerfield.
