Manchester Withington MP Jeff Smith has called for nominations for Manchester Sports Awards 2018.

Manchester Sports Awards seek to recognise the achievement and contribution of individuals, teams and communities in the world of sport in Manchester.  There are 9 different categories from ‘Achievement in disability sport’ to ‘Community coach of the year’.

Jeff said:

“If you know someone who has achieved great things this year, or made a positive impact on your local community through sport, nominating them for Manchester Sports Awards is the perfect way to recognise their efforts.

It will only take a few minutes to nominate them, but could make a huge difference to the person or organisation you put forward.”

Successful nominees will be contacted in September and the top 3 in each category will be invited to the Sports Awards evening on Saturday 27 October 2018 at the Hilton Hotel in Deansgate.
